Description
Slacklining is a balance sport which utilizes nylon webbing stretched tight between two anchor points. Slacklining is distinct from tightrope walking in that the line is not held rigidly taut; it is instead dynamic, stretching and bouncing like a long and narrow trampoline. The line`s tension can be adjusted to suit the use and different types of dynamic webbing can be used to achieve a variety of feats. The line itself is flat, due to the nature of webbing, thus keeping the slacker`s footing from rolling as would be the case with an ordinary rope. The dynamic nature of the line allows for impressive tricks and stunts.
With the Fusion you use a combination of a pulleysystem and a ratchet as a tensioning system. In combination with a second ratchet, it is possible to set up `longlines´ of over 100m. Powerlock System ™ :
The tension belt is pulled by a long-lever ratchet in a pulley system. As soon as the ratchet is wound full, you fix a parallel belt into a buckle, release the ratchet and pull again. The treeslings are made with a quickrelease. After the set up of the slackline, you can open the wingnut of the ratchet and then remove the ratchet out of the system.
